STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN ACCREDITATION PROCESSES

Studenty experty

Our agency ensures the active participation of students in the process of evaluation of educational organizations and promotion of students' interests.

Under the Regulations of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA), the Accreditation Council, which makes the final decision on accreditation, expert groups on external audit, must include representatives of students. In addition, students are required to participate in the IQAA's institutional and specialized accreditation procedures.

Students perform several functions in expert groups on external audits of universities and educational programs. First, the student representative evaluates the situation from their point of view. Secondly, students who are selected for the expert group usually already have experience of such work either at the university level or at the national level.

To prepare students for participation in external audits, the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) conducts regular training seminars, both for all experts and separately for expert students. The agency's Analysis and Quality Department develops informational videos specifically for students, which demonstrate the various stages of accreditation in an entertaining and accessible form and explain the role of students in the quality assurance process in education.

Students are informed about the agency's activities and quality assurance procedures through the official pages on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
