Employees of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) took part in the European Quality Assurance Forum “Building trust and enhancement: from information to evidence” organized online by the E4 Group (ENQA, EUA, EURASHE and ESU) held on 18-19 November, 2021. The purpose of the event was to provide a platform for discussion, professional development and exchange of experiences for the main stakeholders in quality assurance from Europe and beyond. The forum also aimed to promote trust and serve as a basis for informed decision making, quality enhancement and an evidence-based quality assurance.
The event combined online sessions that discussed how to ensure an appropriate balance between qualitative and quantitative data and diverse sources of information, and focused on how to analyse, interpret the data and ensure that it is used to enhance quality and promote trust. The forum also offered an occasion to analyse how to make the best out of the opportunities offered by digitalisation while avoiding pitfalls.
More than 200 people representing the rectors and vice-rectors responsible for QA, QA officers in higher education institutions, students, QA agency staff and researchers working in higher education and quality assurance fields took part in the forum. The forum was moderated by the EQAF Programme Committee members - Jens Jungblut, Joaquim Mourato, Pegi Pavletić, Gea van Zutven, Ulf Hedbjork, Ronny Heintze, Liv Teresa Muth, Ronny Heintze, Geneviève Le Fort, European Students' Union representative - Ruben Janssens, and the President of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education - Karl Dittrich.
