IQAA took part in the GAIN online meeting on combating academic cheating

On February 15, 2023, The Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN) consortium held an online meeting on combating commercial academic cheating services. Senior Manager of the Academic Integrity Department of the Irish agency QQI Mairéad Boland acted as the chairman of the meeting.
During the meeting, André Hesselbäck from the Swedish Council for Higher Education presented a report about the growing number of organizations engaged in the sale of higher education diplomas and other academic documents. He also provided information about the negative impact of such organizations on the status of accreditation agencies around the world. Representatives of accreditation agencies discussed the further development of a common action plan to combat this influence. The next meeting of the GAIN consortium is scheduled for May.
