On 25-26 April 2019 in Tallinn, Estonia, Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education (EKKA) hosted the 9th ENQA Members’ Forum. The Forum took place at Tallinn University.
Representatives of an Independent Agency for quality assurance in education - President, Sholpan Kalanova and the Head of the administrative Department, Daulet Kalanov participated in the event.
The Forum was chaired by Christoph Grolimund, President of ENQA.
During the two days of the Forum, participants had the chance to express their opinions on the future of ENQA and discuss the new ENQA Strategic Plan 2021-2025 to shape the future of ENQA. Moreover, expectations of quality assurance agencies for the developments of the EHEA were discussed.
Within the program, key presentations were presented:
- The European Universities Initiative by Vanessa Debiais-Sainton with Michel Cosnard as a respondent;
- The landscape of higher education in 2020 and beyond – two levels of change by Bert van der Zwaan with Anne Flierman as a respondent;
- Slides for breakout session 1: Reflections on future developments of the ENQA Agency Reviews – SWOT analysis;
- Slides for breakout session 2: ENQA’s strategic plan 2021-2025.
Within the framework of the Forum Independent Quality Assurance Agency for Education (IQAA) and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC) signed a Cooperation Agreement. The aim of this agreement is to promote the high quality of higher and vocational education in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Moldova, as well as to contribute to the development of the educational and research environment of both countries in accordance with current international standards.
Such events make a significant contribution to the development of the quality assurance system on the international as well national levels.
