Specialized accreditation at the International University of Kyrgyzstan

In preparation for the external evaluation, on March 1, 2019, the Independent Agency for quality assurance in education (IQAA) conducted a training seminar entitled "European standards and guidelines (ESG)" for the staff of the International University of Kyrgyzstan. The seminar was attended by the President of the IQAA Sh. Kalanova, the Head of the administrative Department D. Kalanov and Head of the department of accreditation of the universities and research institutes (centers), Z. Akhmadiyeva.

 

On June 3-4, 2019 IQAA held a specialized accreditation at the International University of Kyrgyzstan. IQAA was represented by the chief coordinator of the Department of accreditation of universities and research institutes – B. Imasheva.

IQAA considered 3 areas of bachelor study programs – "Philosophy", "Information systems and technologies" and "Computer Science and Engineering".

During the audit, the expert group reviewed reports on self-assessment of accredited areas, conducted interviews with the University management, structural units, teaching staff, students, graduates and employers. In addition, the Department made presentations to the expert group IQAA.

Also during the visit, the experts conducted a visual inspection of the Central and Eastern campuses, considered the material and technical base of the University, the scientific library and other objects.

As a result of the audit 3 educational programs were accredited for a period of 5 years.
