The official Certificate of Recognition Status was issued by the World Federation for Medical Education on 17 August 2026.

The award of WFME Recognition Status confirms that IQAA’s accreditation processes in the field of basic medical education meet the criteria of the World Federation for Medical Education.

As part of the WFME recognition process, IQAA’s accreditation processes were evaluated, including its decision-making procedures and post-accreditation monitoring of medical education institutions and educational programmes.

WFME Recognition Status confirms that IQAA’s accreditation processes support the application of appropriate and rigorous standards to the medical schools and programmes it accredits.

Achieving WFME Recognition Status represents an important milestone for IQAA and confirms that the Agency’s approaches to quality assurance in medical education are aligned with internationally recognised standards.

IQAA will continue its work to foster a culture of quality, enhance accreditation procedures, and strengthen confidence in Kazakhstan’s higher and medical education quality assurance system at both national and international levels.
