On 10 July 2017, representatives of IQAA took part in a Webinar organized by the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) on the topic "Quality Assurance and Combatting Academic Corruption: Focus on Plagiarism"
CIQG is hosting a Webinar Series on the role of quality assurance and combatting academic corruption based on the Advisory Statement for Effective International Practice, developed by the International Institute for Education Planning and CIQG in 2016.
This Webinar (the second) in this series was devoted to discussing issues related to identifying plagiarism and measures for its punishment, creating an internal quality culture in higher education institutions and external quality assurance, conducted by accreditation agencies.
The Webinar was conducted by a respected panel of international experts:
- Carolyn Campbell, Senior Consultant, Observatory on Borderless Higher Education (United Kingdom);
- Jamil Salmi, Global Tertiary Education Expert (Morocco);
- N.V. Varghese, Director of the Center for Policy Research in Higher Education at the National University of Educational Planning and Administration (India).
